Pastel Interiors
Even if you have a plain white room a piece of furniture painted in a calming pastel will give a real easy-going and romantic effect to a space. The fun thing about pastels as well is that you needn't paint a wall all pink or invest in a mint sofa just a few cheap bits here and there light the bunting, plant pots and little trinkets above.
Nothing complements flowers and china better than pastel shades. If you're co-habiting with a male and he puts his foot down with the girly tones little pieces of delph or the odd hydrangea from your neighbour's garden will also romancify the place up a bit.
Like above...... and shabby chic goes so well with pastel too.
Thinking pastels, don't just think pink, think lavender, mint, lemon yellow, peach, think whites thrown in too, think ombre toning like the curtains top left and also lots of mixing and matching and plae green too. Also think romantic lace trims and baby blues.
If you're at a market or in a bric-a-brac shop or at a car boot sale and china is for sale nab it as quickly as possible. Aside from using it merely to consume tea from you can pour wax in and make candles as presents for people, you can stack them as a little ornament corner in your gaf and you can also hang plates on walls and stock up a dresser. China looks best in pastel shades not big dark maroons and navies and oranges. Sick.
