So there's this dynamo. She's young, she's Irish and she's set up this super cool shop in Dublin town. She's an interior designer and she loves all things home and all things industrial. Her shop is called Industry Design and her name is Vanessa Mac Innes.
My only connection is that I live in an industrial estate. Like literally. Right now I'm looking out two, four, no five flat roofed buildings and in their windows I can spy computer monitors that have turned blue because the workers have all gone home.
I used to live in this little piece of heaven but there was no public transport for miles and me and my Polo were inseparable......
But I've always dreamt of proper pretty industrial living like Greenwich Village loft studio with exposed brick for the interior walls. Neon lights. No doors. Young hipster living. Not there yet....
Back to Dublin and to Vanessa...... here's some cool stuff she's curated on her travels and sells online and in her Temple Bar store...
Top is this desk with three useable drawers and everything's made from mango wood. So popular it's currently out of stock but alas she has a little order me one button on her website.
Middle left is my favouuuuuuuurite and they're cheap as chips but then give the coolest effect. These industrial lightbulbs she sells for 6.50e and there are a few different types.
Then there's this other cool Dublin shop called Designist (great name right?) and that's where the real, cool modern eggcup comes from.
